Recently, in Mogadishu, Somalia, the Shabab carried out a suicide attempt on the court complex, and on the airplane road. Officials reported that an estimated 20 people died in the attacks. The Shabab, an Islamist militant group, attacked the court complex by having someone detonate a suicide bomb in front of the gates as a breach for entrance. After that, several other suicide bombers entered the gates and a gun battle sprung up outside the court. Several people who were in the court hid out and eventually jumped out the windows to safety. Later, on an airplane road outside of a government building, another bomb was detonated as a convoy passed by killing a Somali driver and wounding three Turks. After reading this article I've realized how corrupt things in the world can be. I really haven't noticed before how many murders, bombings, etc occur nor have I payed much attention to it. I think it's very scary because these things can happen whenever, wherever and it can lead to the fate of many. I hope that officials in Somalia step up their defense and security for those civilians who may be in danger. My prayers go to the families, and those who were affected by the bombings.
